OPM’s client, a dynamic games studio based in Central London, are looking for a Level Designer to join their team. They focus on traditional game development experiences, blending a bunch of people who are talented and passionate about making the best F2P games.

Reporting directly to the Design Director, the Level Designer will be focused on the future of one of their hit titles but with scope to be involved in titles across the studio. As a Level Designer, you will have a passion for creating the highest possible quality levels through research, imagination, technical skills and tight collaboration with all disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Create amazing tracks using their track editor tools in Unity
Set up different vehicles, ensuring they’re accessible, fun and filled with personality
Play competitive games and understand their strengths and weaknesses
Work with the rest of the team to define, plan, and iterate track and vehicle features to a high standard
Be involved in analysing game metrics/feedback and make design decisions based upon them
Create design specifications that effectively communicate game design requirements to all team members

Requirements:

Experience as a Level Designer
Technical awareness of the game development process
Experience with game development tools such as Unity, Unreal or similar
Ability to critically analyse level design
Comfortable working closely with art and programming teams
Comfortable with level review process and critique
Able to work under your own initiative and within a team environment
Good knowledge of current mobile games and gaming trends
